The short version
Where this tool fits
A compact hardware wallet with USB-C and Bluetooth, plus a microSD-based backup workflow to understand before choosing. The microSD backup is sensitive and unencrypted. Owning the device does not make an exposed backup safe.
A good fit if…
A fit for readers who want a small device and are willing to learn its touch controls and backup handling.
Look elsewhere if…
Backup card requires separate protection

What the documentation establishes
The Nova documentation lists USB-C, Bluetooth and support for desktop systems, Android and compatible iOS devices. It uses capacitive touch controls and offers Multi and Bitcoin-only editions. The microSD backup is not protected by the device password, so the card must be treated as sensitive recovery material.
Where it fits into your routine
Suppose the attraction is using one small device with both a laptop and an iPhone. First distinguish Nova from the earlier BitBox02 and distinguish the Multi edition from Bitcoin-only. Then rehearse the non-secret parts of the process: finding the right app, locating the controls and identifying the instructions for backup verification. Write down where those instructions can be found without writing any recovery material into a browser notebook.
The decision before you commit
The microSD approach changes the handling task rather than removing it. Decide who could access the stored card and how you would notice a missing item. A digital backup medium should not casually join a shared drawer of spare camera cards. Compare the backup format and restoration procedure with other options before buying a second device, and check whether your chosen assets are supported in the exact edition.
Before choosing
Confirm Nova, the Multi edition, current OS requirements and the official microSD backup and restoration instructions.
The microSD backup is sensitive and unencrypted. Owning the device does not make an exposed backup safe.
Custody Planning Workbook helps you organise your own notes in this browser. Keep credentials and recovery material out of your project.

- Compact touch-control format
- USB-C and Bluetooth options
